174 Bingo

Joo Chiat

By Moody Munchkin · Visited October 2026

174 Bingo is an unassuming cafe in Joo Chiat that serves excellent sandwiches, drinks and a particularly delicious pistachio tart. I spied almost every table ordering it, and the display card had it at $14 a slice.

We tried two sandwiches, each around $15: a grilled egg mayo with maple bacon in a brioche bun, and a sourdough grilled cheese with bacon. I loved the gleaming maple bacon in both.

My favourite drink has to be the peppercorn strawberry shrub soda (around $6). It perked me up instantly.

It was crowded on a Friday afternoon, mostly young people in groups of two or three, with mainly shared seats. Quite cramped, but cosy.
